Character Art & Spine Animation: The Princess
Designing and Animating a Brave Protagonist
The heart of the game is the Princess. We started with casual character design exploration, focusing on creating a relatable and expressive heroine. Once the final rendered look was approved, we transitioned her into Esoteric Spine. Our team developed a versatile skeletal rig that allowed for incredibly smooth character animations. We crafted an array of animations to drive the narrative forward, including determined idle loops, dynamic puzzle-solving interactions, distressed states for rescue sequences, and joyful victory animations.
